2/16/24 - Cerro Gordo County, including Mason City, has completed their siren replacement project. All of the sirens on the county system have been replaced with new T-121s. Mason City's 2001s have been removed. Below are Photos from slightly earlier in the process.

Sirens automatically run full alert on the first Tuesday of every month at 10AM.

Numerous/all of Mason City's 2001s laying at the county EMA yard. They were in the process of being taken apart to be scrapped. EMA was contacted about obtaining a siren, however they responded that were are all property of their electrical contractor.

Potentially an old site of an Allertor or Banshee. Located at 43.16952, -93.18371. Might just be a random electric box but it seemed noteworthy.
