In 1952, the village received a Jailbar Thunderbolt 1000 located a top of the old high school that would be apart of Cleveland's CD Siren System. The siren was removed in the 1970s. Later on in 1985 when a tornado hit the town, they purchased 3 whelen sirens (2 Whelen WS-2016s and 1 WPS-2809). The sirens were located at Wallings Rd and Brecksville Rd, Brecksville Cemetery, and the intersection of Miller Rd and Brecksville Rd. The siren located at Wallings and Brecksville was replaced in 2004 by an ASC T-128. The T-128 still used the Whelen's control box. The siren at the cemetery was removed in 2012 and replaced by a FS 2001-130. The WPS-2809 at Miller and Brecksville was removed in 2015 and replaced with a FS 2001-130.
