History: The original 2 fire sirens in the town of Deshler are the Sterling and the Champion. Around 2013-2014 the nearby city of Defiance was upgrading their system of Thunderbolt's, and Deshler was able to get 3 of them to use a storm sirens. One of the Thunderbolts got mounted to the same pole as the already existing Champion. All 5 sirens still remain active today and the Sterling does a daily noon whistle.
