History:
Merrill originally only had the 3 2T22's. When the Merrill 2011 EF-3 torado came through, Merrill bought 2 T-128's to replace the 2 2T22's on the far sides of town. Merrill still wanted to keep the old system running just in case the new system failed. However in 2022-2023, the old 2T22's were being activated in the middle of the night constantly as they were running on old phone lines. Merrill has disconnected the 2 2T22's on the outside of town but kept the one downtown due to the coverage gap. The one 2T22 downtown is no longer on a phone line but now runs on a radio.
