The City of Washington Court House is the county seat of Fayette County. A moderately sized city; it has 5 sirens; 4 of which are currently operational.
A project is currently ongoing to replace old EOWS*612's that have been non-working for years. As of 2021, there is only one siren left to replace. The city went with Sentry Siren, and chose to install 7V8-B's. Their system also consists of a Model 7 and a Whelen OmniAlert OA-4. The Model 7 will remain active; the OmniAlert was installed in August 2019 as an emergency purchase.
Model 7: This unit is located inside the bell tower at the Fayette County courthouse. It sounds one three minute alert for testing. Photos taken 8/2019 and 4/2021.
Whelen OmniAlert OA-4 - W. Elm St. - This siren was installed only a short while prior to me taking these photos in August 2019. You can see the old pole in the background. The local fire chief refers to this siren as a "hamburger stack."
