FS&S Thunderbolt 1000T - This siren was installed on the Burlington FD in Downtown Burlington, Vermont in 1966. The images are from newspapers from that time. This was installed during the cold war by the Federal Civil Defense Administrations (CD). The siren has since been removed, this is one of the only remaining records and likely only photographs of this siren. It is unknown what became of it, likely simply scrapped.
